Sandown - Wednesday 22 August - DIDNTCOSTALOT had to travel to Victoria in search of a suitable 1000m race but proved the trip was well worth it.  Peter Robl (who also made the trip from Sydney) took him straight to the lead on the fence and although he began to hang out in the straight he was always well clear of the opposition and won easily.

Muswellbrook - Monday 16 July - A big day in the bush two runners for two wiinners - MAGNOLIA LANE with Blake Spriggs in the saddle took out the main race the Darley Tiara (1500m) on a Heavy 10 track.  Sitting behind the leaders and favourite Disputes she shouldered her way through at the top of the straight and went on to win fairly comfortably.  Earlier on the program MAI TAI LADY (Snippetson - Tis Maizing) ridden by Jeff Penza proved that she too liked the heavy going when she took out the Maiden over 1450m giving nothing else a chance.

Wyong - Friday 13 July - Jumping quickly from the barriers Jeff Penza was able to steady LADY CORLEONE to sit just behind the leader.  He didn't allow the two racing in front to get too far ahead and rounding the home turn hooked off the fence to come around the leaders.  As they entered the straight Lady Corleone raced to the lead and won easily over the 1350m Class 1.

Gosford - Thursday 7 June - SEA GEM relished the heavy track and barrier 3.  Nathan Berry was able to easily take the lead from the outset and with nothing taking her on was able to dictate terms to well into the straight where he drew the whip, when she tended to hang out he changed the whip to his left hand and she raced away to win by 1 3/4 lengths in a Class 1 over 1200m.. 

Gosford - Thursday 24 May - LADY CORLEONE (Untouchable - Donna Carmela) ridden by Peter Robl broke through for her maiden win over 1200m on a dead track.

Kembla Grange - Saturday 12 May - A nostril separated first from second but the photo showed TIS AWESOME (Bianconi - Tis Maizing) ridden confidently by apprentice Sam Clipperton was the winner of the 1600m Maiden after being on the pace throughout the race.

Wyong - Thursday 10 May - LUCYMAYLYN ridden by Jeff Penza proved what a little bulldog she is when she won by 1 length today.  After jumping she was forced wide by a horse on her inside and had to drop into third place between it and the leader.  Rounding the turn she pushed through and gained the lead and although tiring after a torrid run was able to hold off the fast finishing second placed horse.

Gosford - Wednesday 25 April - In her first race for 3 year old Maidens over 1000m LUCYMAYLYN (Danerich - Espalita) was taken straight to the lead by Jeff Penza only to be challenged by the favourite.  She soon gained the upper hand and coming into the straight never looked like losing and in the end pulled away to win by 5 lengths.

Gosford - Tuesday 3 April - RISE AGAINST ridden by Jeff Penza showed speed when jumping from barrier 1 to quickly take the lead.  At the 600m she had a lead of 1 1/2 lengths which she maintained until well into the straight when she was gradually being overhauled but hung on to win by a 1/2 head and 2 1/2 lengths to the third placegetter.

Kembla Grange - Saturday 7 January - ACTRICE is our first winner for 2012.  Ridden by apprentice Lauri Wray and jumping from an inside barrier she followed the tearaway leader to the turn where both were about four lengths in front of the field.  Actrice dug deep down the straight and finally got past the leader to win by a long neck over the 1200m.

2011

Cessnock - Tuesday 22 November - Classic Thoroughbred's colours were again to the fore when 3 year old filly DANE'S DIAMOND (Danerich - All Up Diamonds) from barrier 1 was driven straight to the lead by Jeff Penza and defied all comers to run her down over the 900 metres to win by 1 1/4 lengths.

Warwick Farm - Wednesday 9 November - When DIDNTCOSTALOT was given 59 kg Marc opted for 3kg claimer Ben Vassallo who rode him to perfection.  From barrier 7 at the ll00m and on a heavy track Ben let him roll to the front and from there to the finishing post it was a one act affair with no other horse making up any ground.  Now three out of three DIDNTCOSTALOT is giving his owners plenty of value for a small outlay.

Gosford - Thursday 27 October - Two out of two - DIDNTCOSTALOT didn't disappoint as short-priced favourite when jumping from the outside barrier to win his second race in good style.  Jeff Penza had no hesitation in crossing the field to lead and once again had them all off the bit.  In the straight he seemed to tire a little but still kicked on for a 1.5 length win in 1:11.62.

Gosford - Sunday 16 October -  RISE AGAINST (Bel Danoro - Magic Regina) broke through for her maiden win over 1200m.  Jeff Penza had her sitting in second place before the turn where she moved up to the leader and overtook him to win by 3/4 length.

Wyong - Thursday 13 October - DIDNTCOSTALOT (Danerich - Costi) made an auspicious debut by breaking the Wyong 1100 metres Track Record.  Jumping from barrier 5 Jeff Penza took him straight to the lead where he settled just over a length in front of the field.  The jockey then  gave him a "hurry up" coming into the straight and he skipped away to win by about 5 lengths with the rest of the field hard ridden.  (See "PRESS RELEASES')

Wyong - Thursday 1 September - Glyn Schofield sat just behind the leaders on MAGNOLIA LANE until rounding the home turn and taking the lead before pulling away to win convincingly over the 1600m.

Nowra - Tuesday 2 August - ROYALLA (King Cugat - Ready to Rumba) broke through for her maiden win over 1200m under the confident riding of Jeff Penza who had no hesitation in skirting wide to come on and win by about 3 lengths.

Geelong - Friday 29 July - Jump and run is the key to ROCKAWAY STAR and Talia Rodder rode him to perfection.  From the inside barrier she took him straight to the front and defied the other runners who tried to take him on.  Coming into the straight he kicked away and won easily by about four or five lengths over 1000m to record his fourth win.

Wyong - Thursday 28 July - LETCHWORTH ridden by Jeff Penza was bumped at the start but was able to sit just behind the leaders and on coming to the turn was pulled three wide to fight out the finish with Kirinata but although he commenced to hang in was able to pull away and win by 1 3/4 lengths over 1600m.

Gosford - Friday 24 June -  SEA GEM (Royal Academy-Our Chantilly) took out the two year old race at Gosford over 1000m at her first start.  Drawing barrier 11 Josh Parr jumped her straight to the lead, at the 400m she pulled away from the field but over the final stages began to run off the track but was good enough to hang on by 3/4 length.  In the following race also for two year olds, BALLADONIA (Conatus - Western Invasion) ridden by Tim Clark sat behind the leaders, until about the 100m when she pulled around them and fought it out to the finish to win by the barest of margins.  A great day for the stable - two runners for two winners.

Kensington - Monday 13 June - MISS SHAMARDAL took her winning total to three when under the big weight of 58.5 kg she showed her liking for a very heavy track and easily accounted for her rivals over 1800m.  Tim Clark had her just behind the leaders and took her three wide before the turn where she quickly went to the lead and was never headed.

Cessnock - Tuesday 7 June - Leanne Henry jumped ACTRICE straight to the lead over the 1150m and held off any challenges to win in a photo on a Heavy track.

Hawkesbury - Saturday 30 April - PIMPALA SECRET showed his win at Bathurst was no fluke when he took home the 1400m Hawkesbury Guineas.  Greg Ryan jumped him from the inside barrier to sit behind the leaders and waited patiently till the turn where he secured an inside run to hit the lead.  Coming down the home straight the chasers started coming but he held on to win by a neck from Victorian visitor Speediness and favourite Steps In Time.

Bathurst - Monday 25 April - Greg Ryan showed why he is the best jockey in the country when from barrier one he had PIMPALA SECRET balanced up behind the leaders and waited patiently until the turn where most jockeys went wide.  He steered a course along the rails and never passed a runner to easily beat the next horse by 1 1/4 lengths on a dead track.

Gosford - Monday 25 April - On a track that had deteriorated to Heavy 10, ROCKAWAY STAR ridden by Darryl McLellan jumped well and moved up outside the leader.  Turning for home over the 1000 metres he showed his liking for the heavy and pulled away to win by 4 1/4 lengths.

Bathurst - Monday 7 March - MORE THAN WORDS ridden by Kody Nestor and carrying topweight of 59 kg jumped straight to the lead and showed her rivals a clean pair of heels over the 1400m to win by nearly 3 lengths at the post.

Wyong - Thursday 3 March - Over the 1350m, the consistent but winless HIGH FINANCE (Testa Rossa - Money Mover) jumped well and Brenton Avdulla sat in third place behind the leaders to the turn where he moved around the outside and was able to pull away near the post to win by half a length.

Goulburn - Friday 28 January - MAGIC MAESTRO (Magic Albert - Wombalano Belle) broke through for his maiden win under the expert riding of Matthew Cahill.  Over the 1300m he sat in third and fourth place and when asked for an effort pulled away to win easily.

Nowra - Monday 10 January 2011 - BOOMSHAKALAKA (Beautiful Crown - Little Lippy) ridden by Jeff Penza broke through for her maiden win at 1100m.  She sat just behind the leaders and on the turn a run presented itself when the leaders hung and she fought on to win by the shortest of margins.

2010

Wyong - Thursday 23 December - SHE'S SIRIUS broke through for her second win at 1600m.  She had drawn the outside barrier but Leanne Henry took her straight to the lead and cleverly controlled the pace so that all the other runners were off the bit before the turn.  Into the straight nothing else was making up ground and she came away to win by 1 1/4 lengths.

Rosehill - Saturday 13 November - After his unlucky second at Gosford,  PIMPALA SECRET ridden by Tim Clark crossed over from an outside barrier to lead his rivals a merry dance at the 1200m.  When the horses behind looked liked catching him he pulled out plenty and hung on to win by a length.

Gundagai - Friday 12 November - The Snake Gully Cup is a big event in the Gundagai area and MOROSI ridden by top country jockey, Greg Ryan, showed her liking for the 1400m and a good track when as the youngest and only mare in the field she gave her rivals a racing lesson.  On the tight turning track she was positioned mid-field before Ryan began his move just before the turn, coming wide and striding to the lead to win in the smart time of 1:22.09. 

Hawkesbury - Thursday 11 November - Brad Pengelly positioned MANDLIKOVA in third position one off the rails and rounding the home turn moved up to the leader and battled on doggedly to beat the two placegetters by the barest of margins in the 1400m Class 1 race.

Randwick - Saturday 6 November - Once again revelling in the heavy going MAGNOLIA LANE expertly ridden by Brenton Avdulla won over 1400m.  After being slowly away and near the tail of the field, Avdulla used her superior wet track form to cut the corner at the home turn when the field went wide and made up many lengths to overhaul the leader and win coming away.

Wyong - Sunday 24 October - On a wet Sunday MAGNOLIA LANE (God's Own - Stikumonice) ridden by Tommy Berry showed her liking for the heavy track.  She jumped well at the 1350m start and was quickly into third place.  Moving up to the tearaway leader into the straight she came away and won by three lengths at the post.

Goulburn - Tuesday 5 October - SINGLE ENTRY showed bulldog tenacity under strong riding from Matthew Cahill.  After leading for most of the race she was headed in the straight but fought back doggedly to beat the favourite by a head at the post over 1200m.

Goulburn - Tuesday 7 September - Jeff Penza was able to sit QUEEN ESPRIT one off the fence at the tail of the small field in the 1300m BM70 race.  He pulled out on the turn, to follow the favourite who had been posted three wide all the way, but was pushed out by the second favourite.  The Queen responded to hard riding and when the two horses pulled away from the rest of the field she managed to get her nose in front on the line. Coffs Harbour - Thursday 6 August - When MOSSURMI drew the outside barrier in the Coffs Harbour Cup (1600m), Marc was almost tempted to scratch him but with track conditions to suit and brilliant tactical planning Danny Nikolic eased Mossy out of the barriers and crossed behind the field to be one off the fence and gradually making ground as the race progressed.  At the turn most of the field spread and Danny was able to move up behind the leaders before pushing his way through and allowing Mossurmi to sprint to the lead to win by nearly 2 lengths in front of a huge crowd..

 

Wyong - Thursday 29 July - On a bog track over 1350m MORE THAN WORDS scored her second win.  Ridden by Peter Robl she jumped well and sat behind the leaders before making her run in the straight where she pulled away to win by a length and a half.

Randwick - Saturday 26 June - ALITTLEBITOFMONICA ridden patiently by Tommy Berry chased the field but when they turned for home dashed along the fence and overwhelmed the field to win by a length and a half over 1400 metres.  Four races later LETCHWORTH with Josh Adams in the saddle blundered at the start, and kept on finding trouble as he made his way through the field, with 200 metres to go he was able to find a way through and accelerated to win by about half a length over the Randwick mile (1600m) at the post.  (See Press Releases)

Canterbury - Wednesday 16 June - Over 1250m ALITTLEBITOFMONICA, again ridden by Blake Shinn, was closer to the pace today but looked to have nowhere to go turning into the straight.  Blake Shinn persevered on the rails and was able to push his way through when an opening came to win by 1/2 length.

Randwick - Saturday 12 June - PIMPALA SECRET showed that his debut win was not a fluke.  Tommy Berry had no choice than to take him to the lead over the 1100m or be caught wide.  Once in the lead he was able to dictate the pace and when the well backed Forward Love challenged strongly at the 50 metres Pimpala Secret pulled away to win by half a length.  (See Press Releases)

Canterbury - Wednesday 2 June - Two from two - in Race 1 over 1580m MISS SHAMARDAL ridden by Peter Robl sat behind the other four runners and when they turned into the straight pushed through the centre and overhauled the two leaders to win easily on a heavy track.  Two races later again over the 1580m LETCHWORTH also ridden by Peter Robl jumped well but had to be content to sit behind the leader and favourite Sikka.  Rounding the turn the leader left the rails and Letchworth railed through to show his liking for the heavy track.

Gosford - Thursday 27 May - Morosi's little half sister ALITTLEBITOFMONICA (Court of Jewels - Political Pet) didn't let a Heavy track stop her.  Ridden by Blake Shinn she began slowly but picked up ground along the rails and was hooked wide as the field entered the straight and soon gobbled up the field to win convincingly.  (See Press Releases)

Hawkesbury - Thursday 13 May - First starter PIMPALA SECRET (Monashee Mountain - Secret Dancer) ridden by Tye Angland jumped from the 1000m start and was soon in the lead.  The pack gave chase but were unable to make up any ground and he went on to win by 1.5 lengths.

Wagga - Friday 7 May - With 59 kg MOROSI ridden by Matthew Cahill skipped home from the rear of the field to win the Patinack Farms Diamond Rose by 1 3/4 lengths. She never settled and was throwing her head around but when Matthew asked for her effort at the top of the straight she raced past the field and was never hit with the whip.

Wyong - Thursday 28 April - MISS SHAMARDAL (Shamardal - Heavenly NIght) found the opposition more to her liking when ridden by Hugh Bowman she broke through for her maiden win.  Sitting behind the leaders she easily put paid to them and won easily to score a decisive win.

Canterbury - Wednesday 27 April - CLASSIC RUSH once again ridden well by Jessie Whipp won her fith and first Metropolitan race. From Barrier 1 she jumped to the lead and forced the short priced favourite to sit three wide for most of the way. Into the straight she was too strong and won by nearly one and half lengths.

Hawkesbury - Thursday 1 April - Jessie Whipp sat in second place on CLASSIC RUSH until the straight where she moved past the leader to win comfortably by one length and record  CLASSIC RUSH's fourth win.

Wyong - Thursday 26 March - From the outside barrier Jessie Whipp zoomed to the lead on BLUZAR and blew the rest of the field away to score a commanding victory in the 1000m  Class 2 event.

Warwick Farm - Wednesday 24 March - ROCKAWAY STAR showed his Bathurst win was no fluke. With Matthew Cahill again in the  saddle he shared the lead but was able to hang on from the fast finishing Unanimously to score by a head at 1000m.

Bathurst - Friday 5 March - On a heavy track ROCKAWAY STAR (Rock of Gibraltar - Bundle of Thanks) ridden by Matthew  Cahill was always going to win when jumping to the lead and romping home by 6 1/2 lengths.

Canberra - Sunday 21 February - Obviously the nation's capital agrees with MOROSI as she made it look easy when winning the Guineas prelude 1400m with Craig Agnew in the saddle.  On jumping she settled towards the rear on the fence and rounding the home turn Craig angled out to put the favourite Hood in a pocket. Morosi cruised to the lead and won pulling up by almost two lengths in what looked like a track gallop. Welcome back Craig!

Canberra - Friday 22 January - Peter Robl jumped well and settled MORE THAN WORDS (Stratum - Jargon) just off the pace in the 1000m 2YO race.  In the straight she worked doggedly to the line and was able to get up just at the post

Wyong - Thursday 7 January 2010 - PRINCE OF PRAGUE in a 1350m race  sat just behind the leader in third place until the turn where Peter Robl riding vigorously caught the leader on the line to record his third win.
